The Full English Singing Day - Saturday 8th March 2014

A day of harmonies and community singing led by inspiring folk youth choir, Stream of Sound, and leader, Caroline Price.
The Full English digital archive has thousands of folk songs of the late 1800s and early 1900s from all over the country buried in it. This Singing Day lifts a selection of those songs out of the archive and gives voice to them again in the 21st century.
With songs that have a special link to the North West, Stream of Sound will guide you through the harmonies throughout the day. Everything will be taught by ear, so you don't have to read music in order to take part.
Come and breathe life back into The Full English songs, in partnership with The Met and Inspire Choir.
The Full English is led by the English Folk Dance and Song Society, in partnership with The Met and made possible by funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
VENUE: The Met, Market Street, Bury
TIME: The Full English Singing Day runs from 10am - 4pm. Ticket price includes lunch.
COST: £10
